Notes
General Note
An earlier work, "Letter from the Secretary of State, with a transcript of the list of passengers who arrived in the United States from the 1st October, 1819, to the 30th September, 1820," was published as the 1st vol. of the department's Passengers arriving in the United States. The passenger lists in the present work do not continue immediately from this earlier work since the transcripts for Oct. 1820 to Aug. 1821 were lost.
